Crowne Pointe and Shui Spa are committed to reducing our impact on the environment. As a member of the beautiful, yet fragile, Cape Cod ecosystem, we are striving to lessen our ecological footprint as we go about business. We have made several significant strides towards becoming a “green” hotel and spa. Certain efforts are clearly visible to our guests, such as the natural, organic products used in our spa and restaurant, while others are reserved for our back-of-house operations.

We are committed to environmental improvements within both our business and our lives. We strive to create an environment that makes it possible for all to participate – staff and guests alike. We will continue to scrutinize our operations to find ways to minimize our impact. We will continually strive to make a difference, while simultaneously maintaining our commitment to providing our guests the quality service they expect and deserve.

It’s not easy being green, but it’s worth it.

Here are just a few steps Crowne Pointe it taking on the path to Green:

• Cleaning Supplies: All rooms are cleaned with environmentally friendly products.

• Laundry: Laundry and room cleaning concentrates are electronically dispensed to assure precise measurements and are designed to be diluted, which reduces waste lessening the number of plastic bottles that end up in landfills.

• Soy Inks & Recycled Paper: All corporate collateral is printed on recycled paper using soy-based ink.

• Towel/Linen Conservation: Guests have the opportunity to do their part to reduce energy and detergents required for daily washings by reusing towels.

• Recycling: Back-of-house recycling programs addressing glass, bottles, paper, cardboard, etc.

• Energy Conservation: All lighting is retrofitted and audited to ensure energy efficient bulbs are in place, including in guest rooms and back-of-house operations.

• Water Conservation: Implementation and auditing of low flow systems for faucets, toilets and showers.

• Irrigation Conservation: All the gardens and exterior patio areas are serviced by a private onsite deep well and are limited with rain-detection sensors.
