Spend the Day at Herring Cove Beach

Located at the tip of the Cape - 8 minutes from downtown Provincetown - Herring Cove Beach is a beautiful stretch of sand along the Cape Cod National Seashore. This scenic bayside beach is the perfect spot for sunbathing, swimming, kayaking, and relaxing on the soft sand. The beach offers breathtaking scenery and spectacular views.

Named one of the "best beaches on the east coast" by the Travel Channel, Herring Cove Beach is famous for its radiant sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean. The beach also offers a boardwalk, concession stands, a bathhouse, parking, and shuttle service from MacMillan Pier.

Herring Cove Beach is a very popular gay and lesbian beach with a clothing optional area. We recommend riding a bike to the beach or taking the shuttle that stops in front of the Brass Key, as the parking lot often fills before noon.
