The Crowne Point Hotel & Spa is a grand, 140-year old restored mansion perched atop Provincetown amidst the town's museums and art galleries. Built initially as a Cape Cod sea captain's mansion, our historic hotel is immersed in stories that excite ghost hunters and paranormal experts.
A very old man believed to be the original Inn's Sea Captain can be seen pacing the hallways of the Main Inn. A ghostly image, often spotted on lobby cameras, shows a person wearing a flowing white robe strolling through the lobby late at night. A heavy kitchen door mysteriously opens in the evening and then closes again without human contact. These are a few of the paranormal stories that have become a part of the lore of the Crowne Pointe, one of the most special and historic inns in America. Generations of guests and staff have experienced events that would cause even the skeptics to take pause. Don't worry, our ghosts are friendly.
